flashlightFlashlight is one of those apps that people either love or hate.

Most people who’ve reviewed it on the iTunes store seem to hate it.  I love it.  Ever lose something in your purse?  Ever forget your book light when hurriedly packing for a trip?

This is a great utility app that I find myself launching over and over, and best of all it’s free.

Why we like it:
Use it for a book light if you forget yours!  It chews up battery life like crazy, but doesn’t go off until you turn it off.  I used it in a hotel room last weekend while my kids slept peacefully beside me.  It was so much better than going to sleep at 8:00pm when they did.  I’ve also used it to find things in my purse and open the door on my dark porch.

Things I don’t like?  Um, red?  Blue?  Green?  And strobe lights?  I don’t need ‘em, and I bet you don’t either.

Who hasn’t lost something in their purse?! I can see how this app could come in handy. Thanks for the warning about chewing up battery life. I wouldn’t want to use it for too long! But in a emergency it could be a huge help.
